Has anyone else noticed the flood of “empowered women” media things lately? I mean a FLOOD. For the first time ever I kept watching a Youtube commercial PAST the “You make skip now” mark because Always Women Products was making me cry.
Can’t see this? Watch here. Then, because I am pretty much in love with John Legend, I watched his new music video for “You and I”. Again. Tears. And empowerment. (As a disclaimer, this video is a little heart-wrenching and shows a women post mastectomy. Tears.)
Can’t see this? Watch here.First Always – then John Legend – and then Covergirl. These people are on a roll! Covergirl rolled out it’s commercial #GirlsCan and made a point. That I love. Watch.
Can’t see this? Watch here. And then lastly – the video that has taken the world by storm. “Try” by Colbie Caillat. You know this one. The one that has sparked women everywhere to be bold without makeup. It’s strong, people.
Can’t see this? Watch here.I know it is hard – and also sometimes so easy – to be bold as a woman. We live in a world that is hard on women – but at the same time SO ENCOURAGING. At the end of the day, we really are blessed people. We have love. We have grace. We have freedom to be ourselves.
I would encourage you to be thankful. Bold, and strong – but thankful. We have so much to be thankful about.
