One Pan Potato and Sausage Skillet - A Modern Commonplace Book

Whenever kielbasa – or any Italian sausage is on sale – I scoop it up!  I makes for the best potato and sausage skillet dish. 

I absolutely love this Potato and Sausage Skillet – and it is best on a night when I don’t want to cook a big meal – and when I don’t want to wash a lot of dishes!  It is currently my favorite one pan meal.  It is super easy to adjust for any number of people.

Potato and Sausage Skillet

Serves Two

  • Two Baking Potatoes (or any kind of potato), diced
  • 1/2 Onion, diced
  • 1/2 Package of Turkey Kielbasa (or any Italian Sausage), sliced
  • 1 lb. frozen Green Beans
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup water
  • Plenty of Seasoned Salt, Garlic Powder, Greek Seasoning and S&P
  • Olive Oil

1. Warm oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add potatoes, onion, seasoning. Cover. Stir often and cook for 10-15 minutes.  2. Add sausage and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Add water to keep everything from sticking – and adjust seasoning as needed.  (Onions should become almost caramelized).  3. Add green beans.  Cook about 5 minutes or until beans are cooked.  Serve and enjoy!
