I am so excited to be part of a Pinterest Challenge! I was contacted by Sara and Hanna of Stripes and Polka Dots, and was asked be part of a 6 week Pinterest challenge!
To be honest, I was a little worried, because I am easily daunted by difficult DIY pins. But, because I can pick my own pins, and keep my own pace, this challenge is perfect. So, I am pretty excited. Each of these bloggers will pick SIX pins to complete in SIX weeks. Before you do anything, make sure you follow the bloggers to track their progress!

I picked my pins carefully. I wanted one long-term, but do-able, DIY, a few recipes to make me branch out, a fashion wardrobe pin that is new to me, and an awesome beauty idea! Here are my 6 pins and 6 goals these next 6 weeks!
- Make a “52 Things I Love About You” gift for my husband
- Test out these DIY Gel Nails for under $5.99 (source)
- Make a three or four layered cake (source)
- Make a new healthy snack – these Honey Cinnamon Roasted Chickpeas (source)
- Make a new salad idea for lunch – this Shredded Brussel Sprouts Salad (source)
- Buy and wear my first statement necklace (source)
While we are on the topic of inspiration, let me introduce you to one of my blogging crushes! Elizabeth over Oak and Oats is truly someone I look up to in the blogging world. And, I was more than a little thrilled when she decided to sponsor my little blog!
Oak and Oats is one of the daily blogs I read – because Elizabeth constantly is inspiring me with her beautiful photography, inspiring DIY (like this office re-do for her and her husband’s office), support of Godly ministries that she supports, and especially her awesome blogging series called Blog-It.
Oak + Oats was born out of a desire to create a place that is focused on being rooted and nourished in Truth. It is a place that focuses on the lovely things – like summer adventures, beautiful places, pretty outfits, fall comforts, handmade goodies, heart matters, and Christmas dreams. It is a place to learn & grow – to swing from the tree branches and eat whole grains. PLEASE stop by, we would love to have you!
